Michelle Saykally, PMP®, MBA

Founder, President and CEO of ConX, Michelle has over 25 years in delivering a full spectrum of business solutions for global corporations.  From climbing telephone poles and installing large PBX switching systems for AT&T, Michelle’s career has evolved to senior management positions and consulting.  Since starting ConX, Michelle’s primary focus has been building teams and defining and implementing processes and technologies that deliver measurable value to clients.

Before starting ConX, Michelle assumed the role of CIO and VP of Engineering at SupplyAccess, Inc., responsible for successfully orchestrating the building of an IT/Engineering organization, a web-based, e-commerce procurement product, and all supporting organization and project-related processes.  Michelle spent 10 years in a senior management consulting role with EDS, Systemhouse and DMR of Canada.  She has successfully directed global teams in the reengineering, development, and delivery of strategic, technology-based business systems.

 Michelle’s industry experience includes financial services (international banking, mortgage lending, and credit services), telecommunications, manufacturing, insurance, utilities, automotive, and government entities. Michelle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and an MBA and is PMP certified with the Project Management Institute.  Michelle is an energetic leader of team development workshops, including Tracom’s Social Styles workshops, communication skills and conflict management.  She has taught many aspects of project management to potential PMPs.

Barbara Ansell, PMP®, MSS

A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a Master’s degree in social service may seem an unlikely combination; however, it has served Barbara well in integrating an understanding of technology and the needs of people who use, and are impacted by, new technologies.
Co-Founder and Vice President of ConX, Barbara has over 25 years consulting experience with a strong emphasis on management of projects, clients and professional staff.  Barbara has international business experience having worked in Canada for two years and New Zealand for six years.

She spent 10 years in senior management consulting roles with EDS, Systemhouse and DMR of Canada and has broad industry experience in e-commerce, financial services, and utilities.

Barbara has been instrumental in the overall development of project management methodologies for key client projects.  As Director of the PMO (Project Management office) while at SupplyAccess, Inc., Barbara played a key role in staffing, organizing and managing the 120 technical and engineering personnel.  She leads team development workshops in Tracom’s Social Styles, communication skills, conflict management, and providing effective feedback and performance reviews in the workplace.  She has taught project management to aspiring PMPs.

Barbara McLaughlin Ed.D, Board of Advisors

Dr. McLaughlin is a marketing consultant, advisor to ConX, Inc., and an adjunct faculty member with Saint Mary’s College of California.  In addition to Public Relations, she has taught graduate and undergraduate classes in International Business, Project Planning and Development, The Senior Practicum, Multicultural Management, Organizational Theory, and Marketing.  She was previously adjunct professor with Golden Gate University teaching Telecommunications in Business, International Communications, and e-Commerce.

Prior to her teaching career, Barbara was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for CETRUS, Inc. an ASP startup offering design software to engineers on a pay-per-use basis. Before joining CETRUS, she was Vice President of Sales for Virtual Visits, an Internet start-up marketing solutions creator for the recreation and resort industries.

Dr. McLaughlin has held executive, consultant and director level positions with AT&T.  Her 17 years of telecommunications experience ranged from Marketing and Sales to International Operations including procurement, compensation and staff assignments supporting both consumer and business markets. Her international work focused on negotiating service level agreements with Asian telecommunications companies. Barbara managed large local and global teams, projects, training and multimillion-dollar budgets within the various disciplines.

Barbara received her BA from California State University in Psychology and Economics (Cum Laude) an Executive MBA from the University of Southern California, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Richard McClure, Board of Advisors

Richard has over 35 years of experience in information technology and consulting, primarily in executive and managerial positions with significant P&L responsibilities.

Now in retirement, Richard works as an independent consultant offering leadership development and facilitation services. Leveraging his management and business experience, Richard works on building a 1:1 coaching relationship with business and IT leaders focused on improving their managerial and, often, interpersonal skills.  He believes strongly in the importance of “team” to get desired results and doing what is necessary to achieve a high-functioning team environment.  His clients will attest to the value he brings and to the refreshing to-the-point manner in which it is delivered.

Prior to starting his own consulting business, Richard held senior management and executive positions with IBM, the DMR Group (the largest IT consulting firm in Canada at that time), MCI Systemhouse, EDS, and Sapient. At DMR, Richard launched their US West Coast operation in Los Angeles.  He played a major role in expanding DMR in California over a 10-year period to 200 people, initially as Managing Director for Southern California, and later as VP of Marketing for the US Division. At MCI Systemhouse, as Managing Director, his responsibilities were to manage and oversee the delivery services of a new business unit focused on outsourcing services which eventually comprised over $50M of annual revenues for the firm.  In 2000, Richard joined Sapient with a mandate to expand their business base in Southern California with a specific focus on the Automotive Industry. By the end of 2003, when he retired from Sapient to focus on his private consulting business, Sapient’s automotive presence in S. California had grown to over $12M in annual revenues under his leadership.

David M. Saykally, Board of Advisors

Mr. Saykally has served as chief executive for several early stage, turnaround and growth companies including Unify Corporation, Answer Systems (Sterling) and Application Development Systems (Informatics) and Context Management Systems. He has raised private and public capital and is experienced in mergers and acquisitions. He has served as a Director on private and public boards. Mr. Saykally received his BA from Notre Dame University and MBA from Pepperdine University.

Saykally founded CP Software Group in 1991 and operates it from historic Folsom in the heart of the California gold country. The company is privately held and self-financed. CP Software Group is a venture development company specializing in the building and rebuilding of technology companies particularly in the Internet space. The company creates ventures through acquisition of struggling business enterprises and private equity investment in early stage companies. CP Software Group is an active investor, providing marketing, technical and management capabilities, operating capital and a range of strategic IP.
