Presentation Title:‘Change Management Tools and Techniques’ — Presented by Michelle Saykally, MBA and Barbara Ansell, MS — Owners/Principals of Consulting Excellence, Inc. (ConX)

Presentation Abstract:
When change comes to an organization — be it a policy change, new computer system, new product, reorganization, regulatory change, or any number of other changes that affect the people in a resurgent economy — both the individuals and the organization as a whole will be challenged to transition to the new way of thinking and working. People need to understand what is changing, why it is changing and how they will be prepared to be successful in the future economy.  Many levels of an organization need to be engaged to ensure successful change.

Individuals in an organization do the work, use the new system, have to deal with different people, etc.  The goal for an organization is to help speed adoption of change and help everyone be proficient operating in the new way. This presentation will review tools and techniques for ensuring successful change in an organization.

Take-Aways from this presentation include:

  •     How to identify the parts of the organization and the specific individuals who will be key participants in the transition from old to new
  •     How to prepare a stakeholder analysis
  •     How to analyze change impacts
  •     How best to communicate with all involved — create a strategy and plan
  •    How to minimize resistance and manage the transition
  •    After implementation of a change, how to reinforce best practices
