ConX principals and consultants have successfully delivered business and technology solutions to many companies. There have been opportunities to build business applications and improve work processes, and also build project organizations, teams and all associated project management processes.  A few specific examples are:

  • A Utility Company uses ConX consultants in their Organization Readiness organization. This work focuses on Change Management and support the project teams responsible for successful development and deployment of new technologies that affect diverse groups of field personnel and management.
  • At Kinder Morgan, an energy company, we were responsible for project managing the redevelopment and migration of their VAX based systems to .NET technologies managing a team of 20 analysts, developers, testing and QA personnel.
  • Trader Joe’s asked ConX to assist them with the rollout of a new timekeeping and scheduling systems for 225 retails stores across the United States.  Additionally, ConX was asked to perform a review of their internal Store Help Desk organization and recommend process areas for improvement.  A ConX consultant went on to be an integral member of TJ’s IT staff.
  • American Honda Motors eBusiness organization asked ConX to assist them in designing a Product Development Life Cycle including all project related processes, methods, and tools to be used by the business, technical and 3rd party organizations.
  • SupplyAccess, Inc. asked the ConX principals to build an IT/Engineering organization and all associated project management and support processes in the development of an eCommerce web site supporting on-line purchasing of 1.6 million IT parts.
  • Western Dental Services required technology-based solutions to accommodate the organization’s vast and unique requirements for medical records and customer billing.  A senior ConX consultant led the effort for Western Dental. This involved working with technical and non-technical project contributors and key stakeholders to identify strategic initiatives and to define, design, develop, implement, and maintain complex systems.
  • American Express Travel Related Services  As the lead Senior Project Manager, responsibilities included coordination of American Express business and technical staff, Microsoft development staff, MCI data center resources and Systemhouse project management team in the delivery and support of on-line travel systems for AMEX.
  • PROSA is a consortium of 21 member banks in Mexico.  When faced with deregulation of the banking industry, they needed to reduce costs and improve service to customers. Two ConX principals led a team that spent 10 months in Mexico. Accomplishments included upgrading the nation-wide network of over 5000 POS terminals; realigning, retraining, and reorganizing 120 staff members down to a core group of 60; and relocating the data center.
